Invertek Drives is delighted to announce that it will be showcasing the dedicated Optidrive Elevator variable frequency drive range on Stand 2166, Hall 2 at Interlift 2015.
Optidrive Elevator has been specifically developed to address the exacting performance and reliability requirements of the lift industry. Its popularity is quickly gaining traction as more and more OEMs and System Integrators recognise the high-performance motor control on offer.
Providing a smooth journey is key for elevator manufacturers – no-one wants to arrive at their destination having experienced a jerky ride! Optidrive Elevator ensures an effortless journey in geared and gearless applications thanks to a fully programmable travel curve and a dedicated motor holding brake control algorithm that provides comfortable starting and stopping.
And what’s more, the compact drive is incredibly easy to use. With wireless parameterisation using the Optistick, along with the free OptiTools Studio commissioning software, Optidrive Elevator makes it simple to achieve the most comfortable journey.
Speed and safety are also crucial for the elevator industry; Optidrive Elevator includes safety features such as safe torque off, brake release monitoring, and Rescue Mode Operation, furthermore short floor operation allows for reduced carriage travel time.
The global Elevator sector is a huge growth market. According to recent statistics from Statista, the Elevators and Escalators industry is expected to grow from 86 billion US dollars in 2012, to 115 billion by 2017 – an increase of 34%. This offers substantial opportunities for Invertek Drives and its international sales partners.

2015 is the first time Invertek Drives will have exhibited at the Interlift show - widely regarded as the most well attended lift fair in Europe. IDT Automation, one of the company’s sales partners in Turkey, exhibited at the Eurasia Elevator Fair in Istanbul last year and was so successful that it immediately re-booked for the 2016 show.

As well as new installations, Optidrive Elevator can also be retrofitted for lifts experiencing issues associated with older motors and gears. A recent installation for a Banquet Hall in New Delhi is an example of how Optidrive Elevator can overcome problems and provide a smooth, quiet carriage for lift passengers.
Taking place at the Augsburg Trade Fair Centre from 13th-16th October, Interlift organisers are expecting more than 20,000 visitors from around the World to attend the three day show.
