Countdown begins for Invertek’s global drive innovation event

Invertek Drives is to host a global variable frequency drives (VFD) event later this month as part of an interactive virtual reality showcase #energysavingdrives.

The online event will allow visitors to enter a virtual exhibition where they can see the complete range of Invertek’s Optidrive VFDs and associated technology.

The platform launches on Tuesday, 24th November 2020 and will be open for three days. Visitors will be able to “explore” the drives virtually from their PC using an immersive platform as well as “live chat” to members of the technical and sales teams.

“Coronavirus has led to the cancellation of most international trade events where we would normally showcase our drives,” said Rhydian Welson, Sales and Marketing Director at Invertek Drives.

“We realised early on during the pandemic that we needed to re-evaluate our sales and marketing activities as a result. We already invest heavily in our marketing online, but it meant we had to accelerate those plans.

“Among them is the #energySavingDrives innovation showcase. It will be a global event where new and existing customers can visit our online exhibition stand. They’ll be able to walk around, interact with products from the comfort of their desk and meet members of our sales team live within the event.”

The event will launch at 9am (GMT) on Tuesday, 24 November and will be open for three days, and visitors can register their interest through invertekdrives.com or energysavingdrives.info.

The complete Optidrive range, including the E3, P2, Eco, Elevator, Compact and Coolvert will be on display. Visitors will be able to interact with them in 3D and see the relevant application and product information.

Throughout the event members of the sales and technical teams will be “attending” where visitors can live chat to them or arrange meetings.

Invertek would normally accommodate visitors at its global headquarters and operations facility at Welshpool, Powys, UK. Due to travel restrictions and the ongoing coronavirus situation, it is now launching a series of videos that allow people to follow the VFD design, innovation and manufacturing process.

It will also be launching an interactive tour facility of the headquarters later this year where visitors will be able to see and follow the process of a drive being designed and manufactured through interactive virtual technology.
