One drive, thousands of applications - Optidrive E3, the stunning third generation range of general purpose variable frequency drives from Invertek Drives, is now in full production.

A choice of IP20 and IP66 rated enclosures means Optidrive E3 can efficiently handle literally thousands of low power applications.

Benefitting from extended motor control to cover IE2, IE3 and IE4 permanent magnet and synchronous reluctance motors, and also able to control single phase motors, Optidrive E3 has been developed to ensure it is easy to use around the World. 

Available in four frame sizes, Optidrive E3 offers the exceptional reliability, extreme ease of installation, precise motor control and World leading energy saving performance that Optidrive is renowned for, and is compatible with global supply voltages for motor control up to 22kW (30hp).

With only 14 basic parameters, setting up the drive is simple, and with less than 60 parameters in total, Optidrive E3 offers a very high degree of flexibility.

From industrial applications such as controlling conveyors, to fan and pump control, the easy to use Optidrive E3 can be used straight out of the box - enabling customers to start benefitting from Inverteks’ precise motor control capabilities immediately. 

The drive’s robust design allows Din-rail mounting or simple keyhole mounting as required, and unique to Invertek Drives, the power supply is connected at the top with the motor supply connected at the base. This design makes installation intuitive, and easy to use 5mm rising clamp terminals ensure control wiring is very straight forward.

Providing robust and reliable performance in production environments around the world, even in temperatures up to 50°C, the new range can be directly mounted to machines and specified with an isolator / disconnect switch if required.

A number of features including an internal EMC filter, internal brake chopper, Modbus RTU and Can open as standard, Dual analogue inputs, internal PI control, blue tooth connectivity and sensor-less vector control, ensure the E3 offers everything needed to achieve the most precise motor control possible for an almost endless variety of applications.

The Optidrive E3 range will be introduced to discerning visitors on Stand 349, Hall 4 at the 2015 SPS IPC Drives show in Nuremburg, Germany from 24th-26th November.
