A variable frequency drive dedicated to the elevator industry will be demonstrated at this year’s Interlift 2019 in Augsburg, Germany.
Invertek Drives is exhibiting at Hall 2, Stand 2152 between 15 and 18 October with its compact Optidrive Elevator and associated motor control VFD technology.
Optidrive Elevator
The second-generation VFD has been designed specifically to deliver smooth and reliable control of elevators used in all types of applications.
It works with geared and gearless elevators providing solutions for moving people, cars, products and other applications.
“Variable speed drives are used in a wide range of motor control applications. Predominantly, these are in industrial operations where the key objective is usually to save energy and costs, such as maintenance and downtime,” said Justin Walker, Optidrive Elevator Product Manager.
Precise motor control
“Elevators are different in that the main priority is to provide precise, consistent motor control, guaranteed to ensure a smooth passenger or load journey from start to finish, in addition to efficiencies. The Optidrive Elevator also provides greater motor control and reduced motor drive.”
The Optidrive Elevator features five independent S-ramps, providing maximum ride comfort, along with dedicated motor holding brake control algorithm that allows fine-tuning.
Members of the Invertek team will be on hand to discuss and demonstrate the VFD technology throughout the event.
