Invertek Drives Italia has reported that it received an exceptionally high number of quality enquiries regarding our variable frequency drives at the recent SPS IPC Drives Italia show that took place in Parma last week.
The latest product developments from Invertek Drives were showcased to key decision makers from the Italian automation industry at what has been described as ‘the largest and most comprehensive platform for industrial automation products and solutions in Italy.’
Visitors were particularly interested in the new third generation general purpose drive, Optidrive E3, the expanded Eco range for HVAC building services, the pump control Optidrive Eco range and Invertek's dedicated drive for high performance applications - Optidrive P2.
Jacopo Peterlongo, Chief Executive Officer at Invertek Drives Italia, comments, “We received a number of excellent enquiries from people interested in finding out how Invertek variable speed drives could help them to save energy and money by providing precise motor control in a wide range of industrial processes and how we are able to solve their application requirements thanks to the performance of Invertek Drives products.
“The number of visitors felt similar to last year, but the quality of enquiries was definitely higher than in 2014 which is an accurate reflection of the current market in Italy.”
This viewpoint is mirrored by the show’s organisers who included the following statement in the official post-show report:
‘The Italian (industrial automation) market has grown by 5% in 2014 reaching an overall volume of Euro 4 bn. The overall consensus is that the growth trend will continue also through the current year.’
This outlook is positive news for Invertek Italia which has seen sales increase significantly over the past 12 months, as Jacopo Peterlongo explains, “Invertek Drives Italia Business Unit was formed in 2014 to better meet with our Company (SP electric) the increasing demand for Invertek’s products and services from the Italian market. The response to our products at SPS was very encouraging (2015 was the 5th SPS Italia show) and we are confident that this upward sales trend will continue for the foreseeable future.”
This year’s SPS Italia welcomed more than 23,000 visitors to the three day show - an increase of 11% on the previous year.
