Innovative UK based variable speed drives manufacturer, Invertek Drives, is encouraging gaming fans to play online game Power Wars to be in with a chance of winning an iPad mini.
Invertek originally launched the game at SPS 2013 to raise awareness of the low harmonic credentials of its newest product – the HVAC Eco.
HVAC Eco uses the latest technology to minimise disruption (harmonics) of the incoming mains power supply which can be created by non-linear loads, such as AC drives - resulting in improved performance and efficiency.
Power Wars is an online space invaders style game where players control a ‘fighter’ (cunningly disguised as a HVAC Eco drive) to rid the galaxy of rogue forces - in much the same way that HVAC Eco aims to eliminate disruption to the mains power supply.
The game will be available online throughout February and March – all scores will be entered onto the online leaderboard and the highest scores will be in with a chance of winning an iPad mini.
Sales and Marketing Director, Rhydian Welson, says, “We wanted to do something a bit different to draw attention to the low harmonics feature of our latest product, so what better way than by producing an interactive game to give players a bit of fun!”
