Invertek Drives had the honour of joining the British Ambassador to Germany in Berlin last week to celebrate St David’s Day and the strong business ties between Wales and Germany.

CEO Adrian Ellam and Technical Director Glyn Jones attended a special ceremony at the British Embassy, where they met His Excellency Mr Andrew Mitchell CMG, along with other dignitaries and business leaders from Germany and the UK. The event highlighted the deep connections between Welsh businesses and the German market.

Germany remains a key European market for Invertek, with the company operating offices near Munich to support its growing customer base. The event provided an opportunity to discuss regional economic developments and investment.

“It was a fantastic opportunity to meet representatives from German business and government sectors, discussing the economic landscape and our commitment to growing our presence in Germany and across Europe,” said Adrian Ellam. “It was also encouraging to see the level of investment flowing from Wales into Germany.”

St David’s Day, celebrated annually on 1 March, honours the patron saint of Wales. In addition to the Berlin event, Invertek Drives was represented at other celebrations worldwide, including in Chicago - home to its US headquarters - as well as Madrid, London, and Copenhagen.

The Berlin event reinforced the importance of international business relationships and the role of Welsh companies, such as Invertek, in the global marketplace.
