Invertek Drives has announced the expansion of its presence in the ASEAN region with the establishment of two new companies – Invertek Drives Indonesia and Invertek Drives Malaysia.
The new ventures will enable Invertek to concentrate its efforts on targeting a number of high growth markets in the ASEAN region where increasing demand for its products is fuelled by growing global energy prices, energy efficiency legislation and a greater understanding of the capability of variable speed drives.
Invertek Indonesia and Invertek Malaysia have been established in addition to the existing Invertek Drives Far East Pte Limited which operates out of Singapore and currently looks after the whole of the ASEAN region by both selling directly and supporting sales partners in the region. Sales and Marketing Director, Rhydian Welson, elaborates, “The company in the Far East was first established in 2009 and is now one of the major contributors to our global turnover. Demand has increased to such an extent in this region that the decision was taken to support Invertek Drives Far East Pte by establishing the two new companies.”
Invertek was founded in Powys, Wales, in 1998 and now sells its products in to more than 80 countries worldwide through a network of international sales partners.
The independently owned company is looking to increase its share of the valuable global market which is estimated to be worth $18,854 million by the year 2017 according to a report published by market analyst Market and Market in February 2013.
The report predicts that the region with the highest revenue growth will be Asia-Pacific due to a number of factors including its ‘thriving economies and rapidly expanding manufacturing bases’.
Rhydian continues, “We have a clear global growth strategy in key locations around the World. This approach is reaping significant rewards for Invertek and we are all very excited about the opportunities in Indonesia and Malaysia.”
Invertek will be supporting both new companies with dedicated country-specific websites to ensure customers can access all of the information needed about the company’s products and services in their particular location.
