Invertek Drives USA has appointed Jared Murphy as Technical Support Engineer at its headquarters in Illinois.
Having worked in automation and control design after leaving university in 2016, Jared was involved in the commissioning of Invertek’s Optidrive variable frequency drives as part of a conveyor control product for a previous employer and became hooked on the product.
“I worked in controls design for five years and was introduced to Invertek’s VFDs in 2018 as part of the standard conveyor control product group,” said Jared.
“The reliability and ease of operation of the Optidrive range was something I noticed right from the start and my interest in the drive itself grew, only to implement the drives from varying series in more and diverse applications from filtration to R&D.
“Realizing the wide range of applications and understanding that this is a product to stand behind, I now ardently look forward to taking on my role as Technical Support Engineer with Invertek Drives USA.”
Jared will be based at Invertek Drives USA’s headquarters located in Libertyville, near Chicago, Il.
Wayne Morris, Vice President of Invertek Drives USA said: “Jared comes to us with wide knowledge and experience in control systems, from design through to integration and commissioning. He’ll be a valuable asset to the team and to our customers.”
Jared graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2016 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He had an emphasis in computer engineering and has worked for an ultrasonic cleaning systems company, spearheading its automation, before moving to Machesney Park, where he worked on larger control design projects.
