Invertek Drives has announced a major new contract with Turkey’s third largest elevator manufacturer secured through sales partner IDT.
The client’s company was established eight years ago and now produces approximately 3000 elevators every year from its production facility in Istanbul. Most of its products are destined for the Turkish market, but a proportion are also sold into some neighbouring countries.
It decided to change to Invertek’s purpose designed Elevator drive thanks to the compact and cost effective package it offers, whilst providing a smooth carriage travel profile.
IDT joined Invertek’s network of global sales partners 14 months ago. It approached the lift manufacturer as part of targeted sales efforts in the industry to raise awareness of Optidrive Elevator.
Optidrive Elevator offers easy to use, dependable and precise control for use in geared and gearless lift applications as Invertek’s Product Manager explains, “Our Elevator drive has been specifically developed to address some of the demands called upon in this particular application.
“Users expect their journeys to be smooth, swift and safe – we have ensured Optidrive Elevator’s superior functionality and flexibility cater for all of these needs in a compact, easy to install unit which is compatible with a wide range of motors.”
Optidrive Elevator is ideal for serving the largest portion of the Elevator market in Turkey – low to mid-range, with an elevator speed of up to 1.5m/s. This market accounts for approximately 80% of the country’s elevator business.
The drives from Invertek will be used on around half of all new lifts manufactured by the customer which makes it a significant new account for IDT, as Sales Manager, Cagri Taskin, confirms, “We are very pleased to have secured this contract. The customer has an excellent reputation in the lift industry and we are confident that it will be very happy with the smooth control offered by Optidrive Elevator.”
Optidrive Elevator is available in four sizes, comes with Modbus RTU and CANopen on board as standard, and also has a Rescue Mode Operation.
