Variable frequency drive technology that delivers significant energy savings, reduces emissions, and optimises automation processes across various industries will be on show at SPS Expo 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Invertek Drives, a leading global designer and manufacturer of variable frequency drives (VFDs), will be showcasing its complete Optidrive range at the SPS Expo in Exhibition Center, Nuremberg from 12-14 November (Hall 3, Stand 3-360).

"SPS is a key event for us to connect with industry leaders and demonstrate the crucial role of VFDs in modern automation and energy efficiency," said Rhydian Welson, Sales and Marketing Director at Invertek Drives. "We're excited to present our comprehensive Optidrive range and its ability to address the growing demand for sustainable and cost-effective motor control solutions."

Invertek will be showcasing the Optidrive Eco, a dedicated HVAC and pump drive designed for ease of use and maximum energy efficiency in building services applications. It offers a wide range of features specifically tailored to optimize fan and pump performance, including pre-programmed settings for various applications, PID control, and multiple timer functions.

Another key product on display will be the Optidrive E3, a versatile and robust general purpose drive suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. It features a compact design, intuitive user interface, and advanced motor control capabilities, making it ideal for applications such as conveyors, fans, pumps, and mixers.

The Optidrive E3's flexibility and ease of use make it a popular choice for businesses seeking a reliable and efficient motor control solution for their diverse needs.

For demanding applications requiring precise motor control and dynamic response, Invertek will feature the Optidrive P2. Its advanced features, including sensorless vector control and high-speed communication options, make it suitable for complex automation systems and applications requiring rapid acceleration and deceleration.

Visitors to the stand can also learn more about the Optidrive Elevator Core, a dedicated elevator drive offering groundbreaking features like USB-C connectivity and compact design. Developed in close collaboration with elevator industry experts, it provides smooth and precise motor control for optimal elevator performance, ride comfort, and energy efficiency.

Finally, for applications where space is limited, Invertek will showcase the Optidrive Compact. This cost-effective VFD offers essential motor control functionality in a small footprint, making it suitable for small pumps, fans, and basic automation tasks.

Rhydian added: “By precisely controlling motor speed to match actual demand, Optidrive VFDs can reduce energy consumption by up to 40% compared to traditional motor control methods. This translates to lower operating costs, reduced carbon emissions, and improved sustainability.

In addition to energy efficiency, Invertek will highlight how Optidrive VFDs contribute to optimised automation processes. Precise motor control enables improved process accuracy, increased productivity, and reduced wear and tear on equipment, leading to enhanced operational efficiency and lower maintenance costs.
