More than £4,600 has been presented to a national UK cancer support charity by a group of employees from Invertek Drives.

The money was raised by 21 staff who each undertook 5k a day for 10 days as part of the Macmillan Cancer Support 10 day 5k Challenge at the end of January.

Running, walking and cycling, the team ensured the kilometres were covered each day and totalled well over the 1,050kms needed.

They were joined by Invertek's CEO, Shaun Dean, in their individual exercises undertaken under local Covid-19 regulations.

"I would like to say a huge personal thank you to you all for your valuable contribution (and sacrifice in adverse weather). Your spirit kept me going. The Invertek family is one that inspires me," said Shaun.
