Work progressing on Invertek's new global drives production centre

Work on Invertek Drives new 5,500sq metre production facility at its headquarters in Powys, Wales is well underway.

The new unit, due for completion next year, will enable the design and manufacturer of variable frequency drives and increase production capacity to more than 400,000 drives per year. The company also plans to expand its workforce over the coming years.

Construction started earlier this summer, the same time the company celebrated the production of its one-millionth drive.

The new facility is being built at the Offa’s Dyke Business Park at Welshpool, adjacent to Invertek Drives’ main production facility and global headquarters.

The company needs additional space to expand its operations, increase efficiencies and capacity to meet the growing demand for its products.

Operation Director, Charles Haspel, said: “Invertek Drives produces highly innovative, easy to use variable frequency drives that save energy in domestic and industrial applications.

"This new factory will help us to continue developing the world leading technology and highly skilled workforce necessary to successfully compete on the world stage.”
